Samsung Galaxy S21 appears in new colour variants

Samsung is tipped to launch the Galaxy S21 smartphone in January 2021. In the past couple of months, reports have detailed the features that we expect to see in the upcoming Galaxy S21 series smartphones. Now, a new report gives us insights as to what colours the phone would be available in.

As per a report by the tipster who goes by the name Ice Universe on Twitter, the Samsung Galaxy S21 will be available in five peppy colour variants. These colours are drastically different from the colours in which the previous generations of premium-budget Galaxy smartphones have been available in.

The Galaxy S21 will be available in the vanilla Black and White colour variants. In addition to that, the upcoming smartphone will be available in Violet, Silver and Pink colour variants. All of these colour variants feature a metallic finish.

What sets them apart from the previous generations of Galaxy S-series smartphones, apart from the choice of colours is the overall design, which includes having a darker shade of the phone’s colour being used in the rear camera module. Previous generations had a Black-coloured rear camera module. Also, the new images also show that the rear camera module isn’t restricted to being a patch on the phone’s back panel. Instead, it extends towards the phone’s chassis. It’s also curvier towards the edges.

As far as the specifications are concerned, the Samsung Galaxy S21 is tipped to come with a 6.2-inch display with a screen refresh rate of 120Hz. It is expected to be powered by Exynos 2100 or Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 system-on-chip. It is expected to come with a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 12MP main sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, and a 64MP telephoto lens. On the software front, it will run on Android 11 OS with OneUI 3.1 running atop.
