The Galaxy S21 line already has the launch practically confirmed for the month of January, and with that the rumors about the devices are getting bigger and bigger. A few days after information emerged about the possibility of Samsung applying the One UI 3.1 interface to high-end phones, now a new image helps to reiterate this possible leak.
As you can see in the image below, the photo shows the information area regarding the software implemented in cell phones, where, at the top, there is data about the One UI 3.1 interface in conjunction with Android 11, something that may indicate an even greater renewal than expected for the flagships to be announced in 2021.
One UI 3.0 started shipping with Android 11 for the Galaxy S20 in the United States and in the coming weeks is expected to make its debut in more top of the line from South Korea. With the coming months, other devices will receive the update, but perhaps the focus starting in January will be different.
That’s because there is solid evidence that Samsung is already working on One UI 3.1. Messages in the beta OS support forum from the manufacturer complain about the strange operation of the One UI 3.0 betas night mode. The company responded to some of them indicating that this is a Google problem that is being corrected and as soon as this occurs the correction will also be provided for “the new version of the interface”.
Samsung commonly launches its flagships alongside an One UI update. So it was with the Galaxy S20, and more recently the Galaxy Note 20. As the Galaxy S21 is expected to be launched in January, it may be the first model to come shipped with the One UI 3.1.
We are still trying to break through all the news that Samsung is offering with One UI 3.0, but the differences from it to 3.1 are likely to be small. An indicator of this is the version number itself: major updates tend to end at x.5 or x.0, representing large leaps in resources.
In any case, anyone who bought a top-of-the-line product from the company last year will possibly be awarded One UI 3.0 and even One UI 3.1 at some point. That’s because the company’s new update policy includes support for Android versions for three years for selected models, including those from the S and Note lines.
The Galaxy S21 line is expected to be made official on January 14, maintaining features already in the family, such as 120Hz screen, top-of-the-line processor, and powerful cameras.
