Renowned leaker Even Blass has posted Samsung’s product release schedule for 2021. It says that new Chromebooks and Galaxybooks are slated to be launched in April, followed by the Galaxy Tab S7 Lite in June, the Galaxy A82 in July and finally, the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE in August.
With no Samsung Galaxy Note device incoming this year, fans were left wondering about what would be launched in its place. A new roadmap from Evan Blass gives us a rough idea about Samsung’s plans for 2021. While most of the information it contains sits in line with a report from earlier that prophesized a similar release window for some products, there are some minor differences. The roadmap mentions several products that have been doing rounds of the rumour mill, such as affordable versions of Samsung’s tablets and more Galaxy A smartphones.
According to Blass, the next Samsung event is scheduled for April 14, where the company will launch its new line of Galaxy Chromebooks and Galaxybook laptops. This is at odds with earlier reports which stated that Samsung would debut its new Exynos 2200 SoC and AMD mobile GPU alongside a Galaxybook laptop in June 2021. However, Samsung does plan on unveiling the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 Lite in June. Given that it is a ‘Lite’ version of a high-end tablet, it is unlikely to debut any new hardware, let alone high-end components.
Moving on to July 2021, we get the highly-anticipated Galaxy A80 successor, the Galaxy A82. We stumbled upon the phone on Geekbench earlier running what appears to be a two-year-old Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC. There are two entry-level smartphones in the pipeline too, namely the Galaxy A21/A21s and Galaxy A22. The latter is expected to arrive in two flavours, 4G-only and 5G. We could even see the upcoming Exynos 851 debut alongside them.
The roadmap ends in August 2021, which is when we could see the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE in action. There is a special Galaxy Unpacked event scheduled for the 19th. Samsung could also use this opportunity to unveil its new foldables, namely the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 2, at the event. We could see the WearOS-powered Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch Active 3 in the flesh, too.
