An Apple iPhone 14 series pricing forecast has been put together by a research analyst company offering up what could be the most-accurate price prediction yet. There could even be good news on the horizon in regard to the standard iPhone 14 price, while the iPhone 14 Pro models come with a higher price than their predecessors but with an initial storage bump to sweeten the deal.
The latest Apple iPhone 14 price predictions are in, and they actually differ from the numerous predictions, guesses, and estimates that have made the news over the last few months. This latest forecast has been put together by TrendForce, which compiles and delivers detailed “in-depth market intelligence” and counts Apple as one of its many customers. The report claims that despite assembly issues caused by lockdowns in China and the upgraded components expected in the iPhone 14 devices, Apple will have to be careful with its pricing strategy, especially as millions of potential customers are looking to save money rather than spend it at this time.
Therefore, the research company opines that Apple will offer the standard iPhone 14 at a starting price of US$749, and the iPhone 14 Max (or iPhone 14 Plus) is listed with a starting price of US$849. While the iPhone 14 could be cheaper than the iPhone 13 (US$799 at launch), there are likely some price bumps in store for the Pro models: The iPhone 14 Pro is forecast to start at US$1,049 and the iPhone 14 Pro Max is predicted to start at US$1,149. However, in addition to all the other upgrades the iPhone 14 series should offer over the iPhone 13 range (48 MP camera, satellite connectivity, faster chip, etc.), the Pro devices will start with 256 GB storage rather than the 128 GB that the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max started at.
Apple iPhone 14 price leaks and predictions have been quite wild and included some extremes. A hopeful guess landed on US$699 for the standard model while the high price hit US$899, but most industry watchers settled on US$799 for the iPhone 14. The iPhone 14 Max/Plus has swung from US$799 to US$999 and the iPhone 14 Pro has also witnessed some low and high estimates, from US$999 to US$1,199. The future most-expensive iPhone ever, the iPhone 14 Pro Max, has been associated with prices from US$1,099 up to US$1,299, with a fully specced-out variant potentially costing around US$1,700. Fortunately, it’s unlikely there will be a US$2,000 iPhone just yet, as rumors about a 2 TB model have been recently downplayed. The Apple iPhone 14 series will be launched on September 7.
